The Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) in England is the regulatory authority responsible for licensing and regulating companies as to their obligations under their licences. Other regulators including the Environment Agency (EA), local planning authorities (LPA), Minerals Planning Authority (MPA) and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) all have a role in permitting and supervision of the companies activities, specific to their area of regulation and expertise.
